We're probably more concerned about your privacy and security than you are. All of our systems and processes are designed to maximize your privacy and security.

The Short Answer: If you're spammed or have any security problem, it's not because of us.

Financial Data
Your purchase is transacted through PayPal, one of the most secure payment processing services on the internet. All personal and financial data is encrypted on your computer before being transmitted, and the PayPal servers are very secure. We never have access to any of your financial information. Your bank account or checking account information are managed by PayPal.

Mail Lists & Email Lists
We do not buy, sell, rent, trade or exchange any customer information. Ever. The only way we obtain any information about you is when you provide us an email address and shipping address via PayPal, and we only use that information to complete the transaction. The only way we supply any information about you is when compelled by law with a court order.

Personal Information
We do retain your email address, name, and shipping address to allow us to process your order and answer any questions you may have about your order. This information is kept on a secure Linux server and access to it is strictly controlled. The only information we retain is your email address, name and shipping address. The online shipping at USPS.com prints a copy of your name and address along with each shipping label, and we immediately shred the paper copy to protect your privacy.

Marketing & Spam
We do not maintain a customer list, not even for internal marketing purposes, unless you specifically request to be notified of occasional new products via an opt-in email to us. This customer privacy policy is extremely rare among online businesses. We only use the information you provided with your order to fulfill your current order. We hope you enjoy our products and make future purchases, but we prefer to put our efforts into designing innovative products that deliver real value, and ensuring your current order is as good as it can be, rather than actively marketing to customers. We try to be easy to find, but we don't want to be a nuisance. We do have a completely voluntary opt-in email list for anyone who would like to be notified of future products. This list only contains your email address. You will never be automatically added and must specifically request your email address be placed on the list. We will send an average of one email per month or less, you can be immediately removed at any time at your request, and your email address is always protected from spammers.

Our Server Security
Our servers never contain any of your financial information. Our servers use the Linux operating system, so there is no risk from the thousands of viruses and worms that infect computers running other operating systems. Server access is restricted via two layer password protection. Our servers are protected from external security attacks by a fully stealth dedicated hardware firewall. A bare minimal number of personnel have access to your name, shipping address and email address, and the staff is vetted with the utmost of care to ensure that your information remains secure.

3rd Party Information
The only third party information is the data provided to complete your purchase through the PayPal online shopping cart. PayPal does retain persistent records of your purchase, but has an excellent record for data security in hundreds of millions of online transactions. The only legitimate concerns about the security of customer data with PayPal is stolen PayPal account information. A PayPal account is not required to make a purchase, but it is very convenient for most online purchases. If you have a PayPal account, protect it. Do not fall victim to phishing or scam emails.

What You Can Do To Protect Yourself Online
Before typing any secure information such as credit card numbers or bank routing numbers, make certain you are on a secure website as indicated by an address that starts with "https:" The "s" at the end of "http" indicates it's a secure site using data encryption. Most browsers will also display a small lock icon on the tool bar to indicate a secure website. Secure Website Lock Icon

You will never be asked to provide your social security number, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or any other sensitive information when shopping online at Tacticool Products.
